THE EXTREME SERIOUSNESS OF THIS ARTICLE IS BEYOND MY WORDS! WITH A FEW SIMPLE MOVES THE UKRAINIANS COULD HAVE TAKEN A SIGNIFICANTLY LESSER AMOUNT OF LOSSES IN HUMAN LIVES & EQUIPMENT!
I strongly suggest that you don't take what this article is saying too lightly as with the simple implementation of hiding and observation techniques Ukraine could have saved a great many lives of their soldiers. I'm not going to get into any details here as to how I would have done this but as you can understand that if you're deep enough in the ground and where you are is hidden well enough almost nothing will find you and hit you.
Nextly, I also wanted to add this concept of hiding doesn't only apply to soldiers directly on the front lines.
It pretty much applies to people within 25 km or so of the front lines and even more in some cases depending the weapons used by the Russians meaning that if there is something that can hit were you are then you don't have any business being outside almost at all.
This fatal mistake has gotten many people injured or killed like the title states 'for no reason at all'!
THE MAIN POINT OF THIS ARTICLE
UA took lots of unnecessary casualties for no reason at all like the title states and this could have been very easily prevented with more disciplined hiding, observation and movement techniques.
